NorthAnswer was built by Wouter van den Brink.

I saw three big waves before most people did — AI search is the fourth, and this time I built the instrument myself. Built the way I want to be treated: no hype, no magic score, every number traceable to evidence. The first five clients get me personally — not a dashboard and an invoice.

What NorthAnswer does

NorthAnswer measures what AI assistants such as ChatGPT answer when a customer asks for your kind of service: who gets recommended, on what grounds, and where your business appears or is missing. NorthAnswer researches and selects the five customer questions. 5 customer questions × 5 runs × 5 providers = 125 planned answers; usable answers are counted separately, every point traceable to evidence. Report (PDF) with at most three substantiated pieces of improvement advice plus a 30-minute personal walkthrough within 10 working days after receipt of payment and your website address.

What we do not promise

• No guaranteed AI mentions, rankings or revenue: nobody can force an AI to recommend a business.
• Measurements are snapshots; AI answers differently every time.
• The pilot runs through the official APIs of five AI providers, with and without web search where the API allows it; anything not measured is marked “not measured” in the report.
• The request form starts no measurement; it sends one e-mail and you get a personal reply within one working day.

How you can check us

1. Your five questions are locked in before the measurement and get a fingerprint — we cannot change them afterwards.
2. Every answer is stored in full, with model, date, time and an evidence ID.
3. Every figure in your report points to such an ID; on request you get the complete answer file.
4. Anything not measured is listed as “not measured” — never as zero.

What we do not do

• No overall score and no ranking: we count mentions, we don't hand out a grade.
• No promise about revenue or about a place in an AI answer — nobody can deliver that.
• No measurement of what you personally see in your own ChatGPT app; that depends on your history and settings.
• No judgement on the quality of other businesses; we only count who gets named.
• No selling or sharing of your measurement data with third parties.

NorthAnswer is new. There are no customer stories here yet, because there are no customers yet. Our first real case is ourselves: northanswer.com. That baseline has not been run yet and will appear on the report page as soon as it has. The first five external pilots are exactly what will bring real stories here.
